Algebra Basics: The Distributive Property – Math Antics

Hi, I’m Rob. Welcome to Math Antics! In this lesson, we’re going to talk about the Distributive Property, which is a really useful tool in Algebra. And if you watched our video called The Distributive Property in Arithmetic, then you already know the basics of how the Distributive Property works. The key idea is that the Distributive Property allows you to take a factor and distribute it to each member of a group of things that are being added or subtracted. Instead of multiplying the factor by the entire group as a whole, you can distribute it to be multiplied by each member of the group individually. And in that…

    The Distributive Property In Arithmetic

Hi, I’m Rob. Welcome to Math Antics! In this video, we’re going to talk about a really important math concept called “The Distributive Property”. Well… at least that’s what it’s was called sometimes. You may hear it referred to as “The Distributive Law” or even the “The Distributive Property of Multiplication over Addition” by people who want to sound really technical. But no matter what it’s called, the concept of the Distributive Property is the same. Before we actually dive into that concept, there are two quick things that will help make it easier to understand. The first is simply knowing what the word “Distribute” mean. To distribute something means…

(bright music) – Real estate photography, it’s kind of a unique genre. We never know what we’re gonna get when we walk into a home. We always try to have a plan in our mind but there’s always variables that are entirely out of our control. A layout issue, a wall color, any number of things that we don’t anticipate. That’s one of the things I love the most is the actual problem solving. In the simplest terms, real estate photography is about making a set of photos that makes somebody wanna buy a house. And we do that by capturing the home in its best light. We want to…

    Land Formation in Iowa

Iowa was covered by glaciers until 15,000 years ago. These massive flowing sheets of ice would creep along like very slowly moving rivers, picking up lots of different minerals, rocks, soil and debris along the way. As the glaciers melted, rocks and minerals got left behind. We call this glacial till. The water, from the ice melt, is the foundation of our many river valleys as well as some of our lakes and wetlands. These rocks and minerals were slowly broken down by water and microorganisms to form new soil. Iowa’s landscape gradually became covered in a vast Prairie, consisting of hundreds of species of grasses, flowers, birds, mammals, insects…
