Oxford Real Estate Programme

The main thing with the programme will be global investment and finance But we will also be addressing specifically infrastructure We’ll be addressing real estate development through some world class case sudies We’ll be talking about innovation, we’ll be talking about real estate funds and capital raising We’ll be talking about what investors want and what managers can offer We’ll be putting all of our big picture issues into the context of real world businesses that are trying to be successful, profitable and contribute to society. This programme is different because it adopts a big picture, strategic view We won’t be spending hours in the classroom on excel modelling we won’t be doing property valuations, we won’t be talking about different legal systems in great detail what we’ll be talking about will be the big forces that are changing real estate in order to help people think about how they design their businesses for a ten year hold. We’re fortunate to have some world-class speakers talking about their world class developments. For example 22 Bishopsgate, the biggest development going up in London going up right now we have the developer of that building talking about the scheme and the issues, the risk management issues We have the Oxford alumnus Peter Friedman talking about the argent development of Kings Cross St Pancras the huge 15 year scheme that is changing the shape of that area of London and we have some tremendous international case studies as well Other Oxford faculty members that contribute to the programme include Atif Ansar whose the programme director of the major programme management programme whose and expert in infrastructure and big projects Ludovic Phalippou whose an expert in private equity and delivers a wonderful talk on asset allocation and private equity fees. and a group of alums who come back and judge the propositions that are going to be emerging through the week and one of those propositions may be investable and that’s going to be the mark of success of this programme when people create businesses that they actually go out and launch.
