I’m Laura Boyle and I just graduated with first-class honors in Real Estate and Management. I actually want to thank Professor Norman Hutchinson because he’s been absolutely great. If you do real estate hang on to his coattails because he is an absolute fountain of knowledge. Also the careers advice team and everything they were so great going through University they’re always there if you need anything. Following my degree, I’ve been here for four years, I’m moving to London on Friday and I start a real estate graduate program with BNP Paribas on Monday. The field trip to London is actually a really good experience it kind of puts everything that you’ve been learning over the past three years into context and you get to spend good quality bonding time with your classmates and your teachers it’s a bit more informal and you also get to tap into the minds of industry professionals in London and get a real feel for what the market’s like, which is a really big help going forward into interviews and things like that. My advice to future students would be to sit back and enjoy it, don’t stress about anything too much. I think that’s maybe where I went wrong, I can see my boyfriend smirking! Yeah, enjoy it.
