Hey come on in and take a look at my new listing in Malibu Park, California and I want to talk about staging. It’s one of the best things that a seller can do to maximize the profits and sell-ability of the property. So number one. All this furniture is rented. That’s what staging means. There’s usually a contract for a few months. If we don’t sell it in a few months, there’s an additional monthly fee to maintain the rentals of the property, but you can see the nice impact that proper furnishings makes on the sale of a home. Come on in this way. Here’s the kitchen: a beautiful open floor plan, but just a few fake apples on the tree adds a splash of color. A little plant – It’s not real. It’s staged, but it makes an impact makes me feel at home. And one thing to remember is we don’t get a second chance at a first impression. So as we walk through this house you’ll notice that things are austere. There’s not a whole bunch of information and noise going on. That’s one of the things that stagers do. They minimalize things. They keep the property expansive with minimal furniture and if they add splashes of color – nice designed furniture and a way to enhance the property’s natural components so that a buyer feels that there’s room for them to move into the house.
