How to Find a Realtor-Questions to Ask a Realtor

How to find a realtor? Well that’s what
I’m going to be talking about in today’s video. So let’s get started. Hi everyone! My name is Anne-Marie Priske
with the Priske Homes Team and Keller Williams in Corona California. You can
get up to the second current homes available in all of Southern California
by searching online at Real estate agents can take
work off your hands and even help get a better deal for you if you find the
right one. So how do you find a realtor that you can trust to help you buy or
sell a home? Well the answers are in the questions
that you ask them! Everyone puts on their best show when first meeting with
someone and can even seem to say all the right things. But what is it really
like to work so closely with somebody when such a big financial or life
decision is at stake? What they won’t be able to tell you is what it’s like to
work with them day to day. For this reason, whether you’re buying or selling
a home, you should ask a real estate agent for references for the last four
or five clients. How important to you is communication
and leadership from a realtor? Is this your first time buying or selling a home
that you need a seasoned professional to take the reins? Are they part of a team that you may be talking to an assistant every now and then? What is their current
workload how many clients are they currently working with, so that you get
the attention that you deserve. You want to know what to expect from this person
and if how they operate is in line with your expectations. Another question to
ask a realtor is, “Is this area growing or declining?”
A good real estate agent will be able to tell you if the home that you have your
eye on is likely to be a good investment based on everything that’s happening
around it. “What sets you apart from the competition?” Experienced realtors will
have no trouble selling themselves. Ask them why you should work with them and
listen carefully to the advantages that they focus on. The piece that
differentiates them could be anything like their negotiation skills or their
communication style or their out-of-the-box ideas that will put you
ahead of other buyer’s or seller’s. “Do you do this full-time?” When it comes to
this critical transaction chances are you’re not going to want to partner with
an agent who is distracted by other obligations. Plus an agent who is working
full time is more likely to be up-to-date on the state of the current
market. You may have a friend or family member that has a real estate license.
Just make sure that they have the skills and practice to maneuver through any of
the challenges that can come up throughout the process. You shouldn’t
hire them because it’s a favor or that they may save you money. You should hire
them because they’re good at it. After all it could cost you more than money if
something goes wrong. It all comes down to.. people do business with people they
like. We all want to work with people who mesh with our personality type and who
we feel comfortable with in placing our trust in the things that they can do. I
