01 Introduction. The Land of the Bible: Location & Land Bridge

– [Instructor] Shalom and welcome to the Satellite Bible
Atlas, video number one. In this video, we introduce the general location of the land of Israel and how it functions as a land bridge between three continents. We recommend keeping your
Satellite Bible Atlas handy since you can pause the video at any time to look at the maps with
better resolution and clarity in the atlas. First, let’s note where Israel is located. The land of the Bible
sits at the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea. It is a land bridge
between three continents, Europe, Asia and Africa. The land of the Bible is not a make believe or fairy land, but a real place on our Earth. The Bible is a record of real events that happened to real
people at real places. In a nutshell, this is the message of the Bible, the divine or transcendent God who created everything is
involved with man’s world. And God’s involvement is
not in an abstract way, but in concrete ways
involving real people, real events, real places
on our real Earth. The land of Israel is relatively small. Here is real size, the blue shape, as compared to the size
of the United States. Or compare the size the
size of Israel to California here on the left or note the right, Israel’s land mass is about the same size as New Jersey, the fifth smallest state
in the United States. But in spite of Israel’s
relatively small size, this little land has had a
huge impact upon history. This is undoubtedly because
of God’s association with the land and people of Israel. The Lord says in Ezekiel 5:5, this is Jerusalem, I have
set her in the center of the nations, with
countries all around her. God indicates in the scriptures that he would make
himself known to the world through the people of Israel,
in the land of Israel. Events in this small
land would give evidence that the God of the Bible is the true God and that there is no other. Map 12.1 in the Satellite Bible Atlas shows the borders of the modern countries in the Middle East. Let’s take a closer look at Israel’s position as a land bridge between three continents. Note the two ancient
cradles of civilization. Mesopotamia in Egypt. The route between Mesopotamia and Egypt is funneled through the land of Israel ’cause the Arabian Desert to the east and the Mediterranean Sea on the west present difficult obstacles for travel. As a land bridge between continents, the land of Israel has
historically been coveted by big empires in Egypt and Asia. Any kingdom interested
in expanding military, economic or political interests would set its sights on Israel as a bridge for expansion. Later in history, Europe
got into the picture. This a well-chosen land for the Lord of the Earth to demonstrate in sometimes subtle yet concrete ways his sovereignty
over the kingdoms of men. The history of the Jewish people with the land of Israel is evidence that the God of the Bible is the true God who alone
transcends time and space. Before we look closer
at the land of Israel, there are a few other features and terms of the Ancient Near East
to be familiar with. We will use map 2.1, a map showing Abram’s migration from Mesopotamia to Canaan to mark out the Fertile Crescent. This is an area shaped like a crescent that extends from the Persian Gulf north along the Tigris
and Euphrates River basins through modern Syria and then down along the Eastern
Mediterranean Sea board. It is a land with enough water either from rivers or
rain to produce crops. The Fertile Crescent is
made up of two parts, Mesopotamia means the
Land Between the Rivers, the Euphrates and Tigris, this is where Iraq is today and in ancient times was the center of both the
Syrian and Babylonian empires. The other part of the Fertile Crescent is called the Levant which is the Eastern
Mediterranean Sea board. Levant means raised up. The area’s characterized by hills and valleys, plateaus and mountains, some over 9,000 feet in elevation. The Levant includes the land of Israel which was called Canaan in Abraham’s time. To briefly review the
main concepts presented in this video, the land of the Bible is
a real place on our Earth. The Bible describes real
people, real events, and real places. The Bible is a record of God’s involvement with the real world of mankind. Next, the land of the Bible is situated as a land bridge between three continents. Empires in Asia, Africa and Europe have coveted this land as a bridge for expansion. We mentioned that the central position of the land and people of Israel ultimately testifies to the transcendence and sovereignty of the God of the Bible. We also learned the location of the Fertile Crescent including its two parts,
Mesopotamia and the Levant. In our next video, we
will take a closer look at the distinctive geographical regions of the land of Israel.

why do Christians ignore the fact that they follow the same god of Abraham as Muslims do . it just got out of control when king James 2 ,published that abomination of the real bible. mohammedism rose up to fight the shift of power from the crusades. I wish Christians weren't so stupid to not know the history of their own beliefs. they hide with shame in the new testament which is the same fairy tale told at least 5 times before ,virgin births , rising after 3 days . all born DEC 25. that's because one thing our ancestors were good at is staring at the night sky and the sun basically stops moving, sinks down and rises on the third day. wake up Christians, your destroying mankind's progress rate

If you know Hebrew, then why would you say 'the lord' instead of 'Elohim'? In Hebrew, 'the lord' means 'ha baal', which is one of the names of the Creator's enemy.

Thank you is correct. We should know the location of biblical places, in real time. Ezekiel stated Egypt will be desolate and her peoples scattered, Egypt will be/is a LOW base, with nothing for itself or others. Ezekiel tells it all.

As you said , Abraham migrated from Mesopotamia ..Your father Abraham Himself was stranger & wasn't Hebrew speaking ..

I have A simple question and i dare you if you can prove it ..
Q: can you give me one concrete proof that "Israellis today are the same biblical childrencof israel ???

You know very well that even the biblical ones were not the original people of this land and they learnt hebrew from the local people .. They ruled the land for 400 – 500 years only ..

Israel is and has always been in Africa (extreme NE). It is the land of Canaan, brother of Mizraim who founded Egypt, also in Africa; Phut or Put which is Lybia, also in Africa, and Cush=Ethiopia which used to be the name for the entirety of Africa. So all the brothers, sons of Ham lived on that same continent we now refer to as Africa (there have been at least 11 names for the continent before this last called Africa). Israel is indeed a land bridge that sits on the African plate. The 3 plates connection is a way of confusing people as to the true origins of this land and who has dwelt there. Middle East is a geopolitical phrase coined in the 20th century to refer to the midpoint from England to the far east China.

The land of Israel, (Ancient Canaan). And Egypt ,(Ancient Kemet) are in northeast Africa. My question is, when did the names change and why?

  • stan broniszewski

When looking at the countries of the Middle East, & their original names, these countries are going to invade Israel as mentioned in the Book of Ezekiel, not the current European countries and Russia that so many self oroclaimed Bible teachers want people to believe.

This guy is a total shill and moron! It's laughable how he claims "God protects Israel", which is patently false! God has removed these parasites from this land more times than a 5 year old can count on one hand and He DOES NOT PROTECT THEM TODAY.

Thus they are not the "Chosen Master Race" as all of the kiss ass/fake ass Christian Zionists in the USA and Europe claim.

In fact it's easy as can be to prove that He NEVER CREATED MODERN ISRAEL NOR DOES HE OFFER THEM PROTECTION OR CHOSEN STATUS.

BUT YEAH MORONS, believe that BS as you're heading to hell.

When you look at the map – look at what it would have been before the continents separated as the bible says in the days of Peleg (scientists say "the Continental Drift"). Israel would have been about smack dab in the middle. That is not an accident. None of those people had satellites or anything like that back then to make it up. That is God's design.

None of these argument matter in the end. It’s like Flat Earthers vs “Globalist” it may be a “fun” argument but in the end none of these dividing issues will matter. Accept the lord, know the word, and keep your faith and his commandments. Peace to all 🙏🏼

Israel Land don’t mean the land mass, its the allodial land where the children of Israel were given. Israel is not the land of Palestine.

Africa is the true land of the Bible and the true Israelites. Go back to maps from the 1800s and you will see and all the cities are in Africa. Bethlehem's in Africa and so are all the other cities they talk. About.. Now you know the truth that Israel is not the true land of yahuah and yahusha.

Where do all of these Bibles come from and why the difficulty in defining what is a truly “inspired” word of God? They come from the “ancient manuscripts” (also known as MSS). The Christian world today boasts of an excess of 24,000 “ancient manuscripts” of the Bible dating all the way back to the fourth century after Christ (But not back to Christ or the apostles themselves). In other words, we have with us gospels which date back to the century when the Trinitarians took over the Christian Church. All manuscripts from before this period have strangely perished. All Bibles in existence today are compiled from these “ancient manuscripts.” Any scholar of the Bible will tell us that no two ancient manuscripts are exactly identical. People today generally believe that there is only ONE Bible, and ONE version of any given verse of the Bible. This is far from true. All Bibles in our possession today (Such as the KJV, the NRSV, the NAB, NIV,…etc.) are the result of extensive cutting and pasting from these various manuscripts with no single one being the definitive reference. There are countless cases where a paragraph shows up in one “ancient manuscript” but is totally missing from many others. For instance, Mark 16:8-20 (twelve whole verses) is completely missing from the most ancient manuscripts available today (such as the Sinaitic Manuscript, the Vatican #1209 and the Armenian version) but shows up in more recent “ancient manuscripts.”

There are also many documented cases where even geographical locations are completely different from one ancient manuscript to the next. For instance, in the “Samaritan Pentateuch manuscript,” Deuteronomy 27:4 speaks of “mount Gerizim,” while in the “Hebrew manuscript” the exact same verse speaks of “mount Ebal.” From Deuteronomy 27:12-13 we can see that these are two distinctly different locations. Similarly, Luke 4:44 in some “ancient manuscripts” mentions “Synagogues of Judea,” others mention “Synagogues of Galilee.” This is only a sampling, a comprehensive listing would require a book of its own. The King James Version of the Bible (Also known as the “Authorized Version”), the one in the hands of the majority of Christendom today, is one of the most notorious in this regard. It gives the reader absolutely no clue as to the questionable nature of such verses. However, more recent translations of the Bible are now beginning to be a little more honest and forthcoming in this regard. For example, the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible, by Oxford Press, has adopted an extremely subtle system of bracketing the most glaring examples of such questionable verses with double square brackets ([[ ]]). It is highly unlikely that the casual reader will realize the true function these brackets serve. They are there to tell the informed reader that the enclosed verses are of a highly questionable nature. Examples of this are the story of the “woman taken in adultery” in John 8:1-11, as well as Mark 16:9-20 (Jesus’ resurrection and return), and Luke 23:34 (which, interestingly enough, is there to confirm the prophesy of Isaiah 53:12)…..and so forth.

Now the question becomes “if the Church has tampered with the Gospel of Mark, then did they stop there or is there more to this story?. As it happens, Tischendorf also discovered that the “Gospel of John” has been heavily reworked by the Church over the ages. For example, It was found that the verses starting from John 7:53 that includes "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast the first stone." to 8:11 (the story of the woman taken in adultery) are not to be found in the most ancient copies of the Bible available to Christianity today, specifically, codices Sinaiticus or Vaticanus. 1 John 5:7 The only verses in the whole Bible that explicitly ties God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in one "Triune" being is the verse of 1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." Come to find out, this verse is now universally recognized as being a later "insertion" of the Church and all recent versions of the Bible, such as the Revised Standard Version the New Revised Standard Version, the New American Standard Bible, the New English Bible, the Phillips Modern English Bible …etc. have all unceremoniously expunged this verse from their pages. Why is this? The scripture translator Benjamin Wilson gives the following explanation for this action in his "Emphatic Diaglott." Mr. Wilson says: "This text concerning the heavenly witness is not contained in any Greek manuscript which was written earlier than the fifteenth century. It is not cited by any of the ecclesiastical writers; not by any of early Latin fathers even when the subjects upon which they treated would naturally have lead them to appeal to it's authority. It is therefore evidently spurious."

Acts 4 (KJV) – ግብሪ ሃዋ
12: Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.John 3 (KJV) – ዮሃንስ
16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19: And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.John 14 (KJV) – ዮሃንስ
6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7: If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.Romans 10 (KJV) – ሮሜ
    8: But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10: For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

this is false. this man does not know scripture at all. and totally does not know that other nations round about Israel have enlarged their borders.
Genesis 15:18. these are the borders of Abraham's seed, Yasharal. Duet 11:24 every spot that their feet Touched shall be there's. now. go look up the Exodus map. whatever they touched and then more was their land. and Joshua 1:3-6.
what he is showing you is false. you need to read scripture for yourselves. and study the maps over there. Ammon l, Moab, Egypt and Syria all have enlarged their borders. they did this when the real and true Hebrews got dispersed out of their land by the Most High Yahuah for their sins against his commandments. the real true Ppl of the Bible are the Black Negroes. read Dueteronomy 28. and look up the Arab slave trade.
